Meet my white English Labrador named Finn. We keep Finn very well brushed but he is a PROFESSIONAL SHEDDING MACHINE. We have a house with dark wood floors and area rugs where he loving deposits his white fur. Up until now we have had a very good commercial corded vacuum and a cordless stick vacuum made by one of the major brands. We have had the previous stick vacuum for a long time and it needed to be replaced. The brand name on the new vacuum is Orfeld. Prior to purchasing I did a lot of research on this brand. They are very well rated. Interestingly, they have a stunning resemblance to a very high priced brand on the marke, yet their price is quite reasonable.I am a mechanical engineer, so when I buy products I tend to look at details of the product very closely. Fit,finish, performance and ease of use are important to me. The ease of use on this device is stunning! It is so maneuverable it will blow you away. Compared to our previous stick vacuum there is a night and day difference.The vacuum is very powerful and the power settings are easily adjustable. I also love the the wall holder/charger. Just drop the unit in to the holder and it starts charging :). This is much easier than my previous stick vacuum where I had to detach the battery and place it in a charger.Battery life on this can be either be good or bad but there is an easy explanation. It has 3 speeds, low, med, high. The natural tendency of most people is more power is better! So I ran this at high the first time I used it. Battery life was probably 8-10 min on high. The next few times I used it, I experimented with Low and Medium speed. I found I could use the low setting on hardwood floors easily and the battery life is 30-40 min. Medium is my favorite. I can use Medium on wood floors and area rugs. The performance is awesome. On medium I get about 20-25 minutes of battery life which is enough to do either my upstairs or downstairs. My wife wants it to do it all at once, so I will buy an additional battery. Honestly I am content with just one battery. Most people don't know that from an energy perspective, it usually takes 4x the energy to double the amount of vacuum. That's why the unit has shorter battery life when using it on High. In the attached picture I show all the fur that I sucked up using just one battery....fantasticThe performance of this vacuum is really great and I have yet to clog it up which is really saying something given Finn's contributions. Finn is losing the battle! Emptying it is super simple. Hold it over a trash can, hit the button and it dumps in to the can. Then close the door... simpleWhen buying cordless vacuum you must understand that there are limitations due to the battery. I find this unit to be excellent across the board which certainly surprised me. I just love the ease of use. I have it hung on my wall in the pantry and it is truly a "grab n go" device :)This unit is a very well engineered device and a delight to use :)
