Bought in Apr and died in Oct. So not even 6 full months. I bought 3 and one is not longer charged or turned on. When it works, the time that kicks on vacuum is a bit too short (probably 10 seconds). The seal seems to loose not long so the vacuum kicked on all day.Update 10/11/2022After posted my review, I saw another review mentioned contacting seller so I contacted the seller. He responded within a day including sending a replacement in which arrived next day. I bought 4 (1.35*3 and 1.8*1) in Apr and only one stopped charging. Deducted one star because they sometimes lost vacuum and working periodically through the day until I cleaned and adjusted the seal. Hope the replacement works fine and no more non-function lids.I HAVE 5 JARS BOUGHT ON 3 SEPARATE SALES, NO WARRANTY/ WEBSITE/ OR CUSTOMER SERVICE INFORMATION ON OR IN ANY. I HAVE TRIED TO LOOK IT UP ONLINE, ORLY ABLE TO FIND WAYS TO PURCHASE, NOTHING ABOUT WHEN YOU GET A BAD ONE. THIS IS THE REASON PEOPLE NEED TO STOP PURCHASING PRODUCTS ON LINE, IF YOU CANT GET IT IN A STORE, DON'T BUY IT, EVERY WOOD PILE HAS SNAKES HIDING AND LAYING IN WAIT FOR THEIR NEXT VICTIM, STAY AWAY FROM RHE WOOD PILE, YOU WON'T GET BIT.I was maybe five seconds away from returning this because it seemed dead.1) The battery ships totally dead. Took about three hours to charge. When you plug in the USB charger the light on top will be solid blue. It is charged when the light extinguishes while still plugged in.You can monitor the charge current/voltage with a Klein Tools ET900 USB multimeter, very useful, $17, plugged in series.2) The activation button is a small, all but invisible circle (practically camouflaged) between the two LED lights, NOT the giant button in the center - that button is for breaking the vacuum. Not sure which will work best: This unit (reduced partial pressure of oxygen); CO2 gas blanket at atmospheric pressure (from bike tire inflator); argon gas blanket at atmospheric pressure (TIG welder inert gas cylinder); or FoodSaver mini sachets (single serving 20g). Not sure how 'hard' a vacuum this produces. even if it only goes to 200kPA like FoodSaver, then if spoiling is linear function of oxygen concentration relative to air, coffee should last about 5x as long as without the device. I think you still want to take up as much ullage as possible (pack it with coffee beans as much as possible), reducing whatever air space remains above the coffee beans. How, I'm not sure... We'll see.Update: I measured the 'vacuum' the unit creates, and it is equivalent to an altitude of 3,250 meters. So it only removes about 1/3 of the air from the container. I was expecting it to remove over 90% of the air.UPDATE - September 1,2022The seller promptly sent a new Jar Jump. In fact I received it so quickly that the product arrived before an email from the company with tracking information! While the rating for the Jar Jump remains at 2 stars I can't say enough for the customer service throughout this process. Very quick to respond to email and resolve the issue. Friendly and helpful as well. For those who have had issues, I urge you to get in touch with the seller. I think you'll find that they will bend over backwards to help.In the future, if the Jar Jump is still performing well, and the first one did, I will revise my rating.UPDATE - August30,2022I contacted the company through Amazon and I was sent instructions to reset the unit. Unfortunately this did not resolve the issue. I contacted AlwaysBWinner again and they agreed to ship a new unit. I'll update again if/when I receive it. I purchased this product this past December, 2021, to store coffee beans. It worked quite well and was easy to use. The coffee beans remained fresh and aromatic. Yesterday I was unable activate vaccum mode and thought perhaps I had missed the visual cue that the unit needed charging. I connected the charger, a blue light came on to indicate the unit was charging, and left it sit for the remainder of the day. Roughly 8 hours later I checked on the progress and found that the blue light was off which is supposed to indicate the unit is charged and ready for service. No such luck. The unit appeard DOA. I repeated the charging process 3 additional times to no avail. In fact, I discovered the blue light that indicates it's charging goes off after a few minutes.I would point out that I haven't dropped or otherwise damaged the unit.Honestly, I would have expected this product to work for longer than 8 months. Extremely disappointed. Would not spend $30 for this product again.Had about 2 months and I only use for coffee beans and keeps them fresher. I have tried jars with an airtight seal, but those do little for preserving freshness. I read somewhere you need to get the air out of your jar due to the way coffee beans age.I would have given it 5 stars except for a couple minor things. It comes with a USB type C cable, which I can no longer locate and a USB micro cable would have been better for this reason. It's been 2 months and I still do not need to charge by the way, in the manual it says one charge lasts several months, which it's on track to do.One other pointer, when you start the vacuum sealing press the lid down a bit to get it started, it sometimes has trouble (even if everything is very clean) with out doing this.Overall if it lasts a long time I will be very satisfied.I bree espresso and fresh beans are a must, but they're hard to keep fresh beyond a week in a bag. I got this storage container to help and it's been a welcome addition to the kitchen with a few flaws. The pump definitely struggles to pull a vacuum no matter what I have stored. They say it'll pump down again if a vacuum is lost but I tested this by hitting the release button and it did not pump down again.Luckily it holds a good vacuum and keeps my beans fresh for longer. This is a really good product. But mine has stopped working after seven months. It only gets opened once a day for my morning coffee, so I can't say it's worked hard. I'll be contacting Amazon regarding it. Either a replacement or a refund.
