Works great. Easy to use. Compact size. The stopper definately vacuum seals the wine. The problem is getting it off the bottle. I do manage to get it off, but I feel as though I may break the bottle. I wish it was easier to remove. These do NOT fit on screw top bottles, at least the ones I have which are a major wine brand....it shows being put on a screw top, so beware. Returned them.Although I can usually get the cork back in the wine bottle after it's been opened, I am well aware that I'd better be finishing that bottle soon. I also have those cheap supermarket/liquor store silicone or plastic stoppers, which are pretty much useless for any purpose other than keeping fruit flies away. They don't "stop" anything. They slip out easily. Too easily. This is a nice little gadget that works as intended - to a point. Don't expect to have your pricey Bordeaux taste as perfectly aerated as it did when you first popped the cork. Not gonna happen. However, if you just want something to keep your open bottles of wine relatively drinkable for a few days and securely closed, this will work. It fits any conventional wine bottle. It requires a little work on your part. You really do have to pump the top a number of times before you start feeling significant resistance. That will tell you that most of the air is out of the bottle. It's not exactly a high intensity aerobic workout, but it does take a little effort. Taking it off takes an upward rocking motion until you hear a "pop" and it's off. If you have arthritic hands/wrists or carpal tunnel or anything similar, you might find this hard to maneuver.I got the silver, and it is very nice. I like the color selection. It is a well made and nicely boxed product. The shipping experience was seamless. At almost $19, it is a little more than I like to spend. I was expecting a date indicator, but there was none. This stopper works by pumping it. Depending on how much wine is left you must pump for quite a while until you feel that the pumping action requires quite a bit of effort. The vacuum seems to last for 2-3 days at best.To remove just pull it off and hear the pop (or not if the vacuum is gone). This will work to keep the wine from oxidizing for some days but it will not keep it for longer. I did not run a control test so I don't know if it made a material difference in the end.You still can’t beat the taste of a freshly opened wine that has had time to breathe. But this is stopper works as well at keeping leftovers fit to drink later as others costing quite a bit more, and if you drink up by the second day you probably won’t even notice. You will notice if you leave it much longer than that. That is still better than a lot of the competition, so in my book, that’s a win. Doesn’t work as well on sparkling wines, like Moscato, Proseco or Riesling. Still taste ok, but the fizz doesn’t hold up so well. I’m guessing probably the same for champagne, but we don’t seem to ever have leftovers of that!I was hesitant about using this because will it really work?. Glad to say, IT DID!!! The material is soft to the touch, a little fatter than I want it to be but not a big deal. The size works great with my arthritic hand so holding, pulling and putting it in is not hard. The bonus date indicator as to when it is uncorked is also very helpful especially if there are several ones opened (which means I will have to buy more of these). I think this will be so great with champagne especially because it has a lot of carbonation. At least I don’t have to waste a number of opened champagne bottles with the help of this wine stopper. The purple color is cute. The price, I can’t decide whether it is a little high or just right. However, if it works, I am good to go.Very highly recommended!!!
